CPS Integrated Information Engineering (CPS IIE)
The CPS IIE activity has the goal to mature methods, tools and standards (in particular the OSLC standard ), in order to lower the barrier to integrate information used in the development and production of Cyber-Physical Systems such as cars, production plants and telecommunication systems. Such information is currently highly fragmented, hard to find, trace, reuse and manage.
Concrete results will include support tools that aid in the understanding of complex engineering environments, support their analysis and generation of glue code when necessary for integration. Integration assets - such as tool adaptors - will also be produced through a set of integration pilots. The activity will also develop an innovation roadmap, analysing current barriers and staking out the path towards sustainable information integration.
Overcoming integration barriers will enable new added value services, shorten time to market, enhance product quality and create new business opportunities, thus benefiting CPS industry including integration and tool providers.
This activity is led by Martin Törngren (KTH) as part of EIT ICT Labs' CPS Cyber Physical Systems action line .
Partners in this activity include Ericsson AB, Siemens AG & Åbo Akademi University.
