The best aspects of the programme are its highly interactive classes and comprehensive curriculum, which spans a wide range of courses such as Product Innovation, Systems Engineering, and Innovation & Product Development. How do studies at KTH differ from your previous studies?

Studying at KTH has been a transformative experience compared to my BSc in Mechanical Engineering in South Africa. The advanced level of study at KTH emphasises interactive, student-centred learning with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and industry collaboration. The flexible course structure and extensive research opportunities, coupled with Sweden's leading role in sustainability, have broadened my academic perspective and equipped me with cutting-edge skills that complement the solid theoretical foundation I gained during my undergraduate studies.

The vibrant community and the multitude of events organised by THS ensure something for everyone, making your experience at KTH both enriching and enjoyable. I particularly liked dance, so I found classes and joined them when I could. Having been an SI scholarship member, I also kept myself busy as the chairperson of the board and hosted several events, workshops, and study visits.

What do you want to do after graduating?

After graduating, I plan to work in Sweden for a few years to develop my skills further and gain valuable industry experience, particularly in innovation management and product development. I am keen on joining global companies at the forefront of sustainability and aim to enhance my drone and AI technologies expertise. Additionally, I intend to improve my Swedish language skills, which will benefit my professional integration. Eventually, I plan to return this knowledge and skillset to South Africa, contributing to technological advancements and innovation in my home country. To achieve these goals, I will continue networking within the industry and join societies where I can make an impact and learn from others.
