Ask Nils a question

Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

Since graduating from high school, I have wanted to study abroad and immerse myself in a multicultural, exciting academic environment. KTH was exactly the multicultural, exciting academic environment I was looking for. The interesting programme content, excellent work and research environment, and location in one of Europe's most beautiful and vibrant cities convinced me.

How do studies at KTH differ from your previous studies?

KTH is a significantly larger university compared to where I studied before, which made me nervous at first but ultimately became a blessing. Lectures are more in-depth, which complements the practical experience through labs, exercises, or projects. Furthermore, studying at KTH really gives you the feeling of being part of a community, especially when you get involved in your own chapter or other groups at KTH.

How would you describe your time at KTH so far?

Since I started my journey at KTH, every day has been full of new experiences and challenges. I have met many new people from different countries and with different study backgrounds, and each new encounter has been enriching for me. The international reception at KTH was full of fun and informative events and helped me to really settle in Stockholm. I have already learned a lot in this short time since August and would choose to go to KTH again at any time.

What do you want to do after graduating?

After I graduate, I may want to pursue a PhD if I find a field that I am particularly passionate about and if relevant positions are available. Another possibility would be to join a cybersecurity company where I can apply the knowledge I have acquired to secure our society. In general, I have not yet made a firm decision for the future, and I am looking at what options will arise as I continue my studies.

What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for master’s studies?

I would like to encourage you to believe in yourselves and apply to KTH, even if you sometimes feel unsure about it. The opportunity to become a part of such a modern and dynamic environment is an incredible chance and will be an exciting and enriching experience for you. Follow your dreams; maybe we will see each other on campus soon.
