What made you choose KTH and your master’s programme?
My interest in the field of machine learning started from my undergraduate thesis, which is a project involving machine learning techniques. As I enjoyed becoming more involved in the project, I also found that a solid knowledge base of machine learning would be a necessity if I want to go further on that road. Hence, I decided to further my study in this field. The master’s programme in Machine Learning provided by KTH perfectly meets my need. It is a well-designed programme that not only prepares the students with a solid foundation of basic knowledge but also provides them much practice in various areas. Furthermore, what I appreciate is that the programme is both research and career oriented.

What are your impressions of Stockholm and Sweden?
Fascinating scenery and kind people! My breath is often taken away by the unsurpassed beauty of well-preserved architectures as well as the natural landscape! People in Sweden are so friendly that you would feel completely comfortable even though you don’t speak Swedish. Meanwhile, various opportunities are offered if you want to get insight into the marvelous culture of Sweden. I can tell you that a dozen of excellent museums in Stockholm are free to the public!
What do you like most about being here?
Summer in Sweden is the most enjoyable time being here. I love taking a whole sunny afternoon, roaming around Gamla Stan and appreciating the historical architecture as well as breath-taking waterscape. It also won’t take a long time for a stroll to Kungliga slottet (The Royal Palace), Stockholm Stadshus (Stockholm City Hall), Kungliga operan (Royal Swedish Opera), etc.
