Ask Antonin a question

Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

I chose the Machine Learning programme at KTH because of its comprehensive curriculum, offering specialisation in Reinforcement Learning and Robotics. The programme's strong focus on research and the opportunity to engage in a Machine Learning and Robotics project align with my long-term career goals. I also had a great experience in Sweden during my student exchange in Uppsala two years prior and had learnt the language to a decent level, so I was also very keen on returning to Sweden.

What are the best aspects of your programme?

The opportunity to collaborate with some of the top talents in the field, the cutting-edge research opportunities, and the programme's strong connections to industry provide a practical approach to learning. The opportunity to take courses in various fields that would not necessarily be offered at other universities is also a notable advantage, added to the possibility of taking project courses.

How do studies at KTH differ from your previous studies?

KTH offers significantly more opportunities to socialize and network. It's easy to meet people between clubs, sections (sections), student pubs, and apps like Goin. Also, the possibility of living near campus through SSSB housing makes student life even more convenient.

Have you experienced any culture shock?

Moving to any new country brings a period of adjustment, but Sweden makes it an exciting and rewarding experience. Even though I had lived in Sweden for a year before, there was still plenty to learn and discover. Learning Swedish eases the transition and opens up more of the culture and daily life. The language is surprisingly accessible if you have a good grasp of English. The culture shock isn't overwhelming; it's more about getting used to how things are done. After just a few weeks or months, you'll find that life here becomes comfortable and truly enjoyable.

What do you want to do after graduating?

I aim to build a career in Machine Learning, possibly focusing on Robotics or autonomous systems applications. Whether in research or in industry, I plan to contribute to developing advanced ML technologies.

What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for master’s studies?

KTH offers a unique blend of cutting-edge research, industrial connections, and vibrant student life. It's an ideal environment for students looking to develop both academically and socially while preparing for a successful tech career.
