Ask Daniela a question

What are the best aspects of your programme?

One aspect that I like about my programme is how flexible it is. You get to choose between three streams, allowing you to specialize in the are you prefer. This meant that I was able to focus on my interest in impact assessment and social aspects surrounding environmental engineering. Additionally, the professors in our programme are great professionals. They are always available to help clarify concepts and offer advice regarding courseq uestions. I feel like they have given me the confidence to tackle real-world challenges that I may face in my working career.

How do studies at KTH differ from your previous studies?

The courses at KTH are more practical than my previous studies, and I feel they are highly relevant in the real world, preparing you very well for a career in engineering. Studying at KTH has been a refreshing change from my previous studies. It has not only elevated my understanding of environmental sustainability but has also prepared me to be part of a more sustainable society.

How is student life in Stockholm?

Student life in Stockholm is incredibly dynamic and gets you out of your comfort zone. The university student communities help you make new friendships and give you the feeling of being welcomed. The support I received from different students when I first arrived in Stockholm and during study periods was more than I could ask for. Being a student in Stockholm is a unique experience filled with opportunities for both personal and educational growth, creating experiences that will last a lifetime.

Is there any student events/associations that you enjoy and can recommend?

The THS (KTH Student Union) reception is a must-do when you start studying here, and I really advise students to attend as many events as possible. This is where I met many international students and is a great way to get information about the university/courses, upcoming events and life hacks for living in Stockholm. Getting guidance from other students is a great way to learn about the city as they have been in your shoes and give their first-hand experiences.

What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for master’s studies?
