Why did you choose this master's programme at KTH?
I fell in love with Europe when I had my research internship during my bachelor's studies. Then I decided to do my master's degree in Europe. I was always interested in the field of telecommunication, 5G and IoT, and KTH has been ranked the top 20 universities worldwide in electrical engineering. So I did not think twice and applied to KTH.
What are the best aspects of your programme?
I would say that the best aspect of my programme is that it concentrates on both practical and theoretical studies. We have many lab and project courses that complement the theory we study to make us understand better. Moreover, our programme has all the necessary courses related to communications and IoT that one needs to enter the industry. And finally, our campus locates in Kista is like the icing over the cake.
Have you chosen a specialisation track within the programme?
I have chosen the Wireless Communication track within my programme. I choose this track because it concentrates more on 5G specialisation and has more courses related to the wireless and telecommunication industry. Moreover, you are given the freedom to choose elective courses, making it even more appealing to study other areas that you are interested in. I also choose this track because it will help me get into my dream company in Sweden, Ericcson.
What are some of your favourite courses so far?
A few of my favourite courses are Mobile Networks, Wireless Communication, Internet Security and Privacy. Mobile Networks and Internet Security and Privacy were projects that helped me develop new skills and taught me to work as a team.
How do studies at KTH differ from your previous studies?
At KTH, I have had many group projects compared to my previous university. These group projects are fantastic as you can learn many new skills from your teammates and peers.
How is student life in Stockholm?
Student life at KTH is indescribable. From the international reception to the Christmas events and being a part of THS Armada, everything has been a wonderful experience so far, and I don't want it to end. Stockholm has never failed to surprise me. It is a beautiful city and going around the city during the weekends has become my latest hobby, and I love it.
How would you describe your time at KTH so far?
My time at KTH has been amazing. I came to KTH during the peak of Covid-19, but KTH made me feel like I am at home. KTH organised a lot of activities and events to make me feel engaged during the restrictions. KTH has offered all sorts of support during these difficult times, which makes me feel safe.
What do you want to do after graduating?
I plan to start working in the industry after I graduate and my dream company to join would be Ericsson. After few years of gaining experience, I also have the wish to start my own company.
What would you like to say to students thinking of choosing KTH for master's studies?
I would say one thing: don't think twice and go for KTH. You will not regret it and will have a fantastic time at KTH, don't miss it at any cost.
