Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
The expected learning outcomes for the course lie mainly at the level A1, with certain elements at the level A2, according to CEFR, the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
On completion of the course, the student, in addition to what is evident from courses at the lower level, should be able to:
- use the language orally and in writing in simple everyday situations (A1)
- understand and account (in Swedish) for information from different elementary texts
- describe everyday situations/subjects in simple language on the target language (A1/A2)
- use the kanji dictionary to be able to search unknown Chinese signs
- translate simple sentences from Japanese to Swedish and the reverse.

General entry requirements. Completed and passed Japankunskap, equivalent older course or the equivalent knowledge shown through a compulsory placement test done before course choice.
