Entry requirements for Test Programme

To be admitted to the master's programme in Test Programme, you must meet the admission requirements, submit all application documents and pass the selection.

Admission requirements

Bachelor's degree

Academic qualifications from an internationally recognised university equivalent to a Swedish bachelor's degree.

Students in their final year of bachelor's studies can meet the requirement it they follow the instructions from University Admissions . Final-year students at Swedish universities must have completed 150 ECTS credits in their programme by 3 February.

English proficiency

English proficiency equivalent to the Swedish upper secondary course English 6.

You can meet the requirement with an English test, for example an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL score of 90. Depending on your country of previuous studies you could also meet the requirement through completed upper secondary or university studies. Specific requirements for Test Programme

Courses within Mathematics equivalent to 15 ECTS credits including analysis in one and several variables, linear algebra, numerical analysis, probability theory and control theory. Also, you need courses within Electical Engineering equivalent to 15 ECTS credits including three-phase circuits and/or electrical machines, electromagnetic theory and electric power systems.

Official transcript of courses and grades completed in your degree. Students from Swedish universities that use Ladok do not need to submit degree certificates or transcripts.

Identification

A copy of passport with personal data and photograph, or other identification document.

5. CV

Your CV must be in English and clearly and concisely outline your education, work experience, qualifications and achievements (awards, publications, expertise, knowledge and skills). KTH does not provide a CV template.

6. Summary sheet

Complete the programme specific summary sheet  by the document deadline. You should not save and upload it to your application. The latest submission counts, so if you mistakenly submit it invalid or incomplete, you can submit it again. For questions about the summary sheet, contact the programme .

Selection

Applicants who meet the requirements will have their merits rated on a scale of 1 to 75. We will assess your previous education (including grades, quality of education, suitability for the programme and English proficiency) and motivation. The applicants with the highest merit ratings are admitted.

Acceptance rate

The acceptance rate for the master's programme in Test Programme for 2023 was 37 %. We admitted 93 out of the 251 applicants who met the admission requirements. To increase your chances of getting admitted to KTH, we advise you to select more than one programme when applying. You can apply for up to four programmes and rank them in your order of preference.
