Ask Vaibhavi a question

Why did you choose this master’s programme at KTH?

As an individual with a diverse academic background, work experiences, and a keen interest in entrepreneurship, I believe that the Technology-based Entrepreneurship programme aligns perfectly with my career aspirations. What truly sets this programme apart is its practical focus, with opportunities to work with startups in group projects and mentorship to develop your own ideas. This programme promises to equip me with all-around grooming to become a successful Tech Entrepreneur. It’s more than an academic journey; it’s a bridge connecting engineering expertise with entrepreneurial dreams.

What are some of your favourite courses so far?

My favourite course so far was “Negotiations for Startups”. This course was unique in its form as it was a course offered by the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, which has students from six different partner universities across Stockholm, including KTH. This course had a perfect blend of theoretical concepts, skill workshops and guest lectures with the most renowned investors in Sweden. The students' diverse backgrounds in the course also made it interesting to gain newer perspectives. As this was a skill-based course, what I learned from this course will help me out both in my personal and professional spheres.

What are the best aspects of your programme?

The best part of my programme at KTH is its flexibility in course selection, allowing you to tailor your studies to your interests. The practical-focused curriculum effectively balances research with real-world applications. There are numerous opportunities to interact and work with entrepreneurs and investors in Sweden as a part of this programme, as well as equal opportunities to groom their own ideas and skills. Additionally, the highly diverse cohort offers a wealth of perspectives, enriching peer-to-peer learning and fostering a global outlook. This combination of tailored academics and a multicultural environment equips students with the skills and insights needed for well-rounded growth.

How is student life in Stockholm?

In Stockholm, student life is vibrant and multifaceted, offering a blend of academic rigour and enriching experiences. Students enjoy discounts on transport, food, and more, making living on a student budget easier. The seamless integration of nature and urban life means you can ski, hike, or relax by beaches, all within easy reach. You can choose to be part of diverse student organisations and activities that suit your interests. Stockholm is a perfect backdrop for academic and personal growth, where students thrive amid stunning landscapes and a lively cityscape.

Is there any student events/associations that you enjoy and can recommend?

I was part of THS Armada – the biggest career fair in Scandinavia, which was an excellent opportunity to network with fellow students and potential employers. It was an enjoyable experience that gave me great learning opportunities and, more importantly, friends for life! THS International Reception and our student chapter also organise several exciting events I participated in and highly recommend to all the incoming international students. They are among the best platforms for making friends and meeting new people.
