Apply for change of approved travel

A travel grant for students is awarded for a particular trip. If you cannot take part in the trip, the basic rule is that the scholarship must be reimbursed to the foundation. Always contact the author of the decision if your trip is canceled.

If you, as a student, have been awarded a travel grant but cannot participate in the trip, you can apply for a change of approved travel. Change of approved travel is granted only in exceptional cases when the reason for the change is beyond the applicant's control.

Please note that the processing time for change applications is up to two months. Therefore, be in good time with your application.

Any application for change of destination must:

  • state the reasons for the non-execution of the trip
  • contain cost estimate/budget for the new intended activity (the amount can not exceed the amount already granted)
  • include relevant attachments
  • where applicable, contain a supervisor's approval
  • be submitted within one year from the date of decision

Only complete applications will be processed. You cannot retroactively apply for a change of approved travel when the activity has already occurred.

After you have sent in your application, a decision will be taken to approve or reject the application. The decision will be sent to the email address you provided in the application, and also distributed to your school.
