This half-day workshop at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm features presentations from two external outstanding scholars, Prof. Michael Miller (Johns Hopkins University) and Prof. Henrik Hautop Lund (Technical University of Denmark). Intertwined with these "inspiration lectures" of highest standard, researchers at KTH will present their research related to ageing and well-being. The event will also host a presentation form the Swedish eHealth Agency (eHälsomyndigheten), which is a government agency that aims to contribute to improved health care, care and the nation's health by pursuing development of a national e-health infrastructure.
The external scholars for this year are Prof. Michael Miller (Johns Hopkins University) and Prof. Henrik Hautop Lund (Technical University of Denmark). Prof. Miller's research focuses on advanced image processing methods for medical imaging (computational anatomy) and their usage to quantitatively map the brain in normal and neurodegenerative conditions. Prof. Lund is known for his work in combining modular robotics and modern artificial intelligence to create novel solutions to problems related to health and well-being.
