Welcome to the KTH Life Science Technologies Day 2018
Date and time: August 31, 2018, 08:30–15:30
Location: Ångdomen within the main KTH Library building, Osquars backe 31
Registration: fill in this
form
Organizer: KTH Life Science Technology Platform
Deadline for registration is August 26.
Technology plays a crucial role in the fight against cancer and this edition of the Life Science Technology Day focuses on some of these technologies that may shape the future of cancer care.
As with previous editions, the program has presentations from internationally recognised scholars in the field. This year we have Chris Sander who leads the cBio Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, Boston and Ilya Shmulevich from Institute for Systems Biology, Seattle. Prof. Sanders is known for his research on predictive models for cancer precision medicine that incorporate high throughput data, such as cancer genomics. Prof. Shmulevich is known for his research on using techniques from signal processing and information theory in systems biology models of cancer.
These invited presentations are intertwined with shorter presentations from faculty at KTH representing state-of-the-art research on various technologies relevant for cancer, such as sensor and imaging technologies, molecular tools, and modelling and data analysis.
Participation is free and includes a light lunch, but since the capacity of the venue is limited, participants need to register by the form in the registration link stated above.
