System administrators and managers

  • PDC has several system administrators and system managers.
  • System administrators and managers are responsible for tasks like installing, operating and maintaining the PDC supercomputing and/or storage systems.
  • System administrators and managers may also provide advanced support for PDC users - system administrators and managers may help with more complex queries or problems that are related to programming tools, data storage, operating system issues and the hardware side of using PDC’s systems.
  • Most system administrators and managers have a background in computer science, plus sufficient in-depth knowledge to operate large systems with high demands in terms of reliability and security.
