Work package 3 - Downstream processing for biologics and gene therapy

The technology previously developed in AdBioPro for downstream processing of biologics, particularly for antibodies, will be adapted and further developed for gene therapy. The work package is focused of adeno-associated virus, AAV, and lenti virus, LV and the work has two tasks;
- Purification of AAV: The aim is to develop and optimize an integrated downstream process for AAV purification. Novel technology based on polymer brush is also studied.
- Novel ligand for LV capture: The aim is to develop a novel ligand for interaction with the surface of lenti virus.
