The student is introduced to the school environment and participates in the daily work, both in the classroom and in other activities at the school. During this placement period, the student is given the opportunity to try the teaching process by planning, carrying out and evaluating lessons in one of their subjects, under supervision.
Large focus is placed on classroom observations, both since these constitute opportunities for learning for the student, and since the evaluation of the teaching informs the planning stage of the teaching process. Much attention is also devoted to treatment and communication in accordance with the fundamental values of the school.
After passing the course, the student should be able to:
1. under supervision, plan, carry out and evaluate lessons based on relevant knowledge in the subject and subject didactics.
2. observe and discuss pupils' learning and development and how these relate to the aim of the activities.
3. under supervision, lead teaching and reflect on leadership.
4. communicate through listening, speaking and writing in a way that is suitable and appropriate in the school context.
5. in various situations, treat pupils and school staff with compassion and respect and a professional approach.
6. communicate and establish the fundamental values of the school, including human rights and basic democratic values.
7. identify, and give examples of, their own strengths and their own design of learning.
