Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course gives a deeper understanding about the methods applied in practice for the modelling of thermal processes.

Intended learning outcomes

After the course, the student shall

  • have obtained insights and practice in the tools and models used today for modelling of thermal processes in buildings;
  • be able to show how these methods can be applied for making buildings developing in a sustainable way.

Literature and preparations

Specific prerequisites

Master of Science in Civil Engineering or similar, with an undergraduate course in building technology.

Examination and completion

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

  • RAP1 - Project report, 5.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
  • TEN1 - Oral exam, 2.5 credits, grading scale: P, F

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
