July 4th: the free afternoon

1. Learning in Networks workshop

This workshop , titled ‘Learning in Networks: Structure, Dynamics, and Control,’ features an exciting lineup of speakers. More details can be found here . We warmly welcome you to attend the workshop!

2. Trip to Artipelag by bus, return by boat

Artipelag  is an outstanding art museum in the middle of the archipelago. On July, 4, the last talk will finsih at 12. You have hence time to go to t-centralen to catch the 12:30 direct bus to the artipelag. To come back to Stockholm, we strongly recommend you to use the boat; this is a perfect way of discovering the archipelago.

3. Boat tours in the archipelago

Exploring the archipelago during the summer is a must. Many companies offer boat tours.

Example. Trip to vaxholm by Stromma .

To optimize time, there are often regular SL busses that can take you back to Stockholm. 

4. Museums

Stockholm has interesting museums. Here are a few of them.

a. Skansen  (the dinner July 4 will be served there)

b. Vasamuseum

c. Fotografiska

d. Nobel museum

e. ABBA museum

5. Kayaking 

You can explore Stockholm kayaking. Two recommended places where you can hire kayaks:

1. Langholmen  (metro station: hornstull)

2. Brunnsvik  (in hagapark)
