Development of high-throughput technologies

To be able to generate all the antigens and antibodies needed for the Human Protein Atlas project  and all the proteins in the Human Secretome project within the Wallenberg Center for Protein Research (WCPR) lots of efforts have been put on the development of high-throughput technologies.

During the years we have established high-throughput protocols for protein production in bacteria (E. coli) and mammalian cells (CHO and HEK). We have also developed three different protein purification protocols, all based on affinity chromatography.

Currently we are scaling up our high-throughput mammalian protein production to enable milligram amount production of hundreds of proteins per year.
