Design and Development of Sustainable Product and Service Systems

The aim of this transdisciplinary research is to contribute to design and development of sustainable product and service systems, as well as an open exploration of what is required from these to contribute to sustainability transitions. Different research disciplines, including design research and action research, are used to investigate and initiate changes. As such, the research in this area strives to also develop these research disciplines to be relevant in sustainability transitions. The research often use design interventions and large-scale Living Labs that includes the end user and leads to practically applicable results.

The research is conducted in collaborations with partners within other academic disciplines as well as with external partners including companies and organisations within different societal sectors.
