Financing on this page are funded by the European Union.

If you have completed your studies at KTH, you can participate in an internship program via Erasmus+ called Recent Graduate. Your Recent Graduate internship must last for at least two months and a maximum of twelve months.

You need to apply for Recent Graduate internship during your last semester or course at KTH, and no later than one month after your last completed course. Your Recent Graduate internship must be completed within 12 months of obtaining your degree. KTH is still responsible for you as a student during the agreed internship period.

Limit on the amount of Erasmus funds you can take part in

Please note that Erasmus funds can be awarded for a total of twelve months at the bachelor's level and a further twelve months at the master's level. This applies to Erasmus funds from, for example, exchange studies, degree work and internships. Erasmus funds from Recent Graduate will be included in this total amount.

Example of calculation: Say you want to do a Recent Graduate via Erasmus+ after completing your master's programme. During your master's, you have completed exchange studies for six months and degree project for two months, both with Erasmus funds. Then you have a total of four months left in which you can get funds via Erasmus+ for Recent Graduate.

(12 months Erasmus funds - 6 months exchange - 2 months degree project = 4 months funds left)

Otherwise the same rules as other internships

Otherwise, the same rules apply as for a regular internship via Erasmus+. Note the following:

  • You need to apply no later than one month before the internship starts.
  • The internship via Erasmus+ must take place within 12 months of your last course at KTH.
  • If you have already completed your studies and applied for your diploma, you are no longer eligible to apply.
  • To apply for a Recent Graduate internship, you otherwise follow the same procedure as for a regular internship application via Erasmus+. Read more about internships abroad  and Funding for internships within Europe .
