China: HUST International Summer School on Chinese Language + Metaverse

Wuhan-based Huazhong University of Science and Technology is a 3+2 partner of KTH, and they are offering this summer school for students interested in technology and Chinese development. The summer school is free of tuition and organised from 23 June to 18 July 2025.

HUST will seek scholarships for applicants, which makes the summer school tuition free. You will also be given housing during the summer school. You need to pay for your plane ticket to China.

  1. Apply before 31 January.
  2. HUST will help you with a scholarship for the summer school.
  3. You will be granted the scholarship in March.
  4. You need to apply for visa and buy plane tickets.

The metaverse is an immersive cyberspace that integrates digital and physical worlds. It represents the future industry where artifcial intelligence, blockchain, 5G, Internet of Things, virtual reality, and other next-generation information technologies are innovatively integrated and applied. It is an advanced form of integration between the digital economy and the physical economy, with vast space and enormous potential. Currently, the global metaverse industry is rapidly evolving, leading the next generation of interet development through the interaction between virtual and reality. It accelerates the upgrading of manufacturing industry towards high-end, intelligent, and greenization, supporting the construction of a modern industrial systemm.

This project aims to introduce the development of China's research and application in the metaverse feld, providing opportunities for students from overseas to understand this area. By visiting electronic information, communication technology, and artificial intelligence-related research institutions and enterprises in the Wuhan area, students will have the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into China's innovation and development in these fields.

This project is targeted at students from overseas who have good English listening and speaking abilities, with priority given to those interested in information technology and China's development.
