KTH is one of nine technical universities in Europe that are part of the university alliance Unite! - University Network for Innovation, Technology and Engineering. The aim is to create a new European university model through joint educational programs, virtual and physical mobility, and innovative pedagogical methods. As a student at KTH, you are offered a variety of activities that you can participate in at the different universities in the alliance.

As a student at one of the Unite! universities, you have access to a smorgasbord of academic and non-academic offerings from the nine universities in Unite! - courses, joint programmes, MOOCs and extracurricular activities. Information on these can be found in the Unite! Student Catalogue . Read about the offers in the catalogue and embark on an academic journey that goes beyond your home university. Please note that the links in the catalogue open in new windows.

Would you like to participate in the European Student Assembly 2025?

Students from the nine universities of the Unite! alliance are offered a great opportunity to participate in a major European initiative - the European Student Assembly 2025 (ESA25), organised by the European Universities Community and taking place in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The event brings together students from all over Europe for meaningful debates and to develop policy recommendations on topics related to the future of Europe.

Virtual language and global competence courses

Learn a new European language or acquire skills in intercultural situations, communication and teamwork. You can find the full range of Unite! language and global competence courses on Metacampus.

Unite! Seed Fund for student activities

The Seed Fund intends to support exploration and development of attractive and diverse activities and projects, to help secure either the additional funds for a project or to carry out cooperation on joint, ambitious and innovative ideas within the alliance. The call for applications is open from 15 October until 15 December 2024.

Online courses on Research Data Management & Open Science

Browse a comprehensive selection of open science and research data management training events. You’ll find online training such as AI in Research Work, Storing Confidential Data, Higher Education OER Policies, and Privacy in Speech Technology Research are offered.

Dates: October-December 2024

Deadline for applying: Each course has its own deadline, the last deadline is on the 5th of December

Unite! Graduate School in Speech, Language, and AI Technologies

The overarching objective for the School (result from a Unite! Seed Fund) is to establish a continuous pipeline of exceptional talents, starting from Bachelor's graduates and leading them into a distinctive Master's programme in speech, language and AI technologies offered jointly across Unite! universities. The best Master's graduates will then be recruited as PhD students, strengthening the Graduate School's research profile and influence.

The Unite! Graduate school in Speech Language and AI showcase offers an overview of all the programmes related to this field within the Unite! Partners.

Dates: Master's programs usually start at the beginning of a semester, which can be either the winter or summer semester. However, depending on the university, there may also be specific regulations regarding the start of the program, so better check directly on the website of the respective degree program.

Open Educational Resources MOOC

This course introduces the concept of Open Educational Resources for students and teachers at universities. OER are not only an important educational policy issue for international associations such as UNESCO, OER are also part of the call for "Open Science".

This is the first time ever, a MOOC on iMOOX was created and is now available in all Unite! languages for a better understanding and a multicultural approach.

Dates: Available since the 6th of May 2024.
