Master's degree project at University of Tokyo
University of Tokyo and KTH has an ongoing collaboration for student exchange that enables a few students to visit a research lab at UTokyo and do their master thesis project there.
For the programme at hand, the topic should be within mechanical engineering but in a relatively broad sense, including for instance control theory, acoustics, aeronautics, materials engineering, mechatronics, civil engineering, naval architecture, vehicle engineering, et cetera.
The following departments at UTokyo are part of the exchange agreement:
- Department of Mechanical Engineering
- Department of Precision Engineering
- Department of Systems Innovation
The next round is up for the spring semester 2023 and a formal application would be expected first half of October. Those who are admitted to go will get some travel and accommodation suport from KTH (similar as for exchange within Erasmus) but it will likely not cover the total expenses for the exchange period.
