EIT Urban Mobility

EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) that works in innovation areas, everything from active mobility, mobility infrastructure, sustainable urban logistics, future mobility and others.

EIT Urban Mobility is an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Since January 2019, the group has worked to encourage positive changes in how people move around cities to make them more vibrant places. They strive to become the largest European initiative to change urban mobility. Co-financing of up to EUR 400 million (2020-2026) from the EIT, an EU body, will help to make this happen.

The group aims to,

  • Create system solutions that will move more people around the city more efficiently and free up public space.
  • Bring together all key players in urban mobility to avoid fragmentation and achieve more.
  • Engage cities and citizens from the beginning and give them the opportunity to become true agents of change.

Division works with EIT Urban Mobility Master School with topics within Sustainable Urban Mobility Transitions.
