ORBIT : An All-Things-Space Career Fair

For the first time the career fair ORBIT will be organized, by KTH Space Center and THS Armada. At the career fair, you will have the opportunity to interact with leading companies and other operations within the space industry, learn more about what they do and discover what it's like to work for them.

The purpose of ORBIT is to highlight that the space sector encompasses much more than just rockets, satellites, and astronauts. There are employment opportunities in various disciplines, and anyone can work with space! With the growing space industry, the benefits of satellite data are spreading across multiple sectors, contributing to environmental and climate-related planning, as well as forestry and agriculture. Additionally, there is an increasing demand for advanced computer systems, electronics, and satellite antennas to support modern infrastructure.

ORBIT 2024 - A Space-Themed Career Fair for the First Time at KTH

On 23rd of April, KTH Space Center together with THS Armada launched ORBIT, a space-themed career fair, for the first time!

It was a successful day with 20 exhibitors gathered in Nymble, all excited to meet students from all parts of KTH, to discuss possible career opportunities and developments within the space sector! Moreover, Christer Fuglesang talked about space development and work opportunities in front of a full crowd during lunch. Christer also participated in the panel discussion together with Sven Grahn and representatives from FMV, OHB, PandionAI, Ovzon and AESIR, touching on many interesting topics. The rewarding day ended with mingling in the pub of Nymble.

Lastly, we want to thank both the exhibitors and all the students for joining us on this space fair, encouraging us to keep organizing ORBIT in the coming years and do it even better!
