At IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute  Annelise looks into sustainable use of resources in everyday life, such as circular and reduced consumption, and how this can be supported through design, policy and societal changes.

Annelise has worked at different research institutes in Sweden and at IVL since 2019. She holds a PhD in Industrial Design at TU Delft in The Netherlands and has a docentur at KTH SEED since 2017.

Tell us about you role at KTH and what you hope to achieve.

- IVL has been working with KTH SEED on the topic of sustainable food in several project and now we are in the process of jointly writing publications. We would like to extend this collaboration to topics related to sustainable consumption and design, for which I was invited to KTH as affiliated faculty.

The affiliation will also include supervision of doctoral and master students as well as specific contributions to course education.

- Our hope is to extend the collaboration between our institutes to strengthen common research areas, and as a response to the increased interest in this research topic to extend joint project financing as well as publications.

Are you looking for any particular collaborations at KTH?

- Of course, it would be good to learn more about the different research areas represented in SEED and how these connect to my research. I look forward to intensifying the collaboration opportunities that already exist and expanding collaboration around sustainable consumption and design.
