Vattenfall Energy Award 2019

Three best master theses in the energy field, performed in 2019, were announced during the Energy Dialogue on 14 November and awarded with a cash prize from Vattenfall. Robert Braunbehrens, won the first place for his thesis ’“Wake meandering and its modelling”.

Vattenfall Best Master Thesis Award 2019

1st: Robert Braunbehrens, “Wake meandering and its modelling”

2nd: Alexander Smith, “Rapid cycling and thermal voltammetry at sub-ambient temperature: A lithium-ion battery aging study”

3rd: Christoforos Menos-Aikateriniadis, “Methods to identify broken neutral fault in Low Voltage (LV) distribution grids by using existing smart meters infrastructure”

The prize was handed out by Vattenfall’s CEO Magnus Hall and Lina Bertling Tjernberg, Director of the KTH Energy Platform.

Energy Dialogue 2019

KTH Energy Dialogue 2019 offered insights from a wide area of research: disruptive business models, cyber-attacks and transparent solar-cells were all covered - and an overall theme on solutions to achieve climate goals.
