Background
To accelerate the industrial and social transformation towards sustainability, we need increased collaboration between disciplines. Sustainable Transformation Seminars is an initiative by the researchers’ network in the Industrial Transformation platform. The seminar series targets researchers and students at KTH and KTH’s partners, offering a mix of inspirational contributors and different perspectives from all over the world.
Aims and objectives
The initiative provides a stage for showing efforts that contribute to Industrial Transformation for Climate change and competitiveness, a channel to trigger potential collaborations, and most importantly, inspire others to take action and show that we all can contribute in any way. The network wants to join the movement on climate change with a different vision. We agree action is needed; a way to do it is by being competitive.
Project plan
The seminars are held monthly a Friday each month, 12.15–13.00. The format is 25 minutes presentation and 20 minutes of guided and open discussion with a KTH moderator/host for each instance. The speakers along the different series have comprehended researchers and Industry practitioners with diverse expertise areas from the USA, Japan, Korea, Germany, and Sweden.
Applied interdisciplinarity
Diverse viewpoints, cooperation between industry and research, collaboration among different research areas at KTH and external research partners.
