Program Management
Cecilia Lindskog
Cecilia Lindskog holds a PhD in Pathology from Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. Her research is mainly focused on affinity proteomics and analysis of expression patterns in normal and diseased tissues, using e.g. RNA-Seq, immunohistochemistry, and tissue microarrays. Since 2006, Dr Lindskog has been part of the Human Protein Atlas project. Her current role is principal investigator of the Tissue Atlas team, consisting of 15 researchers.
Dr Lindskog is group leader for the Tissue Proteome program and Director of the Tissue Atlas, part of the Swedish Human Protein Atlas project .
Fredrik Pontén
Fredrik Pontén, MD, PhD, is Professor at Uppsala University and a board-certified senior physician and specialist of Anatomical Pathology. Professor Ponten is co-founder and the Vice-Program and Clinical Director of the Human Protein Atlas. The research headed by professor Pontén is based on gene expression profiling in normal and cancer tissues with emphasis on translational medicine.
Professor Pontén provides expertise within the field of translational medicine with emphasis on pathology and tissue biomarker development, and moreover to facilitate design, access, and analysis of clinical studies based on biobanks and patient cohorts.
