As part of our NAVET for Students initiative, we are excited to host David Segal's vision for the event 'Making Things Do Stuff' - exclusively as part of NAVET Week 2024!

What Is It?

Making Things Do Stuff is a hands-on interactive technology event where you can hear about new cool interactive technology and get a chance to play with it yourself! If you are interested in hearing about cool inventions, new technology or how other interactive designers work then this event might be for you. But if you want to play with, tinker and try these
things for yourself then this is definitely the event for you!

There will be presentations from different designers (TBA soon, keep an eye here!), and jam sessions and a chance to make music with all different kinds of unique technologies and instruments!

Host Information

This event is organized by David Segal, an interactive designer that works with games, AR, VR and experimental interactive applications. He has hosted previous Making Things Do Stuff events focusing on sound, animation/ visualization and interactivity. He is also the founder of the interactive media company We Are Machine Media. Other designers and inventors will be there to present their work and host workshops for guests to play around with interactive sound
technology.
