Intended learning outcomes
After completing the course, students shall be able to
- Understand the function and be able to dimension some common machine elements
- Able to choose appropriate standard components and common construction materials
- Able to analyze machine components from a system perspective
- Be able to collaborate on technical problem solving in an engineering way
- Able to use CAD, modeling parts and make summaries

- TEN1 - Examination, 4.5 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
- ÖVN1 - Assingments, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
Handed in exercises (INL1;3 hp) and written exam (TEN1;4,5 hp).
