Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
The expected learning outcomes for the course are on level B1 according to GERS, the joint European framework for language.
On completion of the course - in addition to what is evident from courses on lower level - the students should be able to:
- identify the main contents in a shorter oral presentation about familiar subjects
- be able to express their own opinions in coherent text and be able to write texts and give simple talks concerning daily life, working life or technology
- Understand clear messages and information and discuss in Japanese in everyday situations
- in Swedish identify and report facts from authentic texts with technical connection
- translate technical Japanese texts within familiar subject areas by means of web-based translation programmes
- search for information relevant for the student in Japanese via the Internet

Specific prerequisites
General entry requirements. Completed and passed Japanese A2, equivalent older course or the equivalent knowledge showed through a compulsory placement test made before applying to the course.
