Content and learning outcomes

Course contents

The course aims at developing competence and skills to understand, analyse, plan and implement study strategies that can improve the student's own learning in an online environment.

  • Review of key concepts within learning based on current research on distance learning and learning in digital environments, metacognition, and cognitive psychology.
  • Design study strategies that are adapted to behaviours and modes of teaching at a distance and in digital environments.
  • Apply study strategies and digital tools to improve distance learning and learning in digital environments.

Intended learning outcomes

After passing the course, the student should be able to:

  • Identify and explain key concepts in the learning process related to online studies.
  • Describe and apply central concepts, theories and methods in digital learning in relation to their own academic context.
  • Design and apply study strategies that can improve the student's own learning in an online environment.
