Course disposition
Course contents
The focus is on learning to write a scientific report according to an internationally accepted conference format. In addition, it is included to be able to present it in an international context. The learning is focused on writing and presenting research in an academic way and defending what has been written in front of an international audience.
Intended learning outcomes
After the course the student should be able to:
- Write a scientific report in an academic manner and in an internationally accepted conference form
- Present scientific results and respond to them in front of an international audience

Admitted to doctoral studies, in the subject area of materials science and engineering or within other related doctoral programs.
Recommended prerequisites
Basic knowledge of metallurgical processes.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
