The major aim with the course is to give doctoral students in the area of Sustainable development in production a platform for advanced scientific and industrial knowledge in the area. Different perspectives and development in Sustainable development in production are presented in seminars of researchers, experts and doctoral students, which leads to discussions and exchange of ideas among the participants.

Intended learning outcomes
On completion of the course, the doctoral student should be able to:
- Summarise and describe the research breadth and actors in the area of Sustainable development in production and thus show a specialised understanding concerning the field.
- Analyse, compare and summarise scientific and industrial results, new development tracks, scientific methodology and concepts in the multi-disciplinary field of Sustainable development in production orally and in writing critically.
- State, describe and compare relevant academic forum and publication channels concerning Sustainable development in production.
- Evaluate how scientific results in the area of Sustainable development in production be related to industrial use and application.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
Scope and awarded credits for the individual written homework assignment are controlled by the number of seminars that the doctoral student has participated actively in. The submitted homework assignment can be awarded a maximum of 7.5 credits, where each seminar that the doctoral student has actively participated in will give 0.5 credits for the homework assignment.
