Course syllabus FME3526 (Spring 2019–)Information for research students about course offerings
Course registration is open.
The course starts on Monday 21st of October 2024 in room 443 Sing-Sing Lindstedsvägen 30 at KTH Campus.
Students and staff wishing to take the course should send me Bruce Lyne (lyne@kth.se) a short description of why they would like to take the course. In return, I will send you the link to register. Please let your supervisor know that they will be invoiced for 7000 SEK by INDEK once you have completed the course (unless you are a student at INDEK).

The course covers IPR-analysis, Market analysis and strategy, Development of business models, F&U-prioriteringar, Marketing of F&U-projekt (pitch your own project) vis-Ã -vis senior Management, venture capitalists or management of F&U-projekt as well as technology/market risk analyses. Case study in the workshop is new packaging from renewable materials and how one sells sustainability.
Intended learning outcomes
After the course, the students have understanding of the practical abilities that are required to run an innovation process according to modern "best practice". The students will also learn what is expected by them, when they start to work in a large multinational or a small startup company.

- Doctoral students and researchers in KTH.

A bibliography over books and articles that describes best practices related to handling of innovation from Research and Technology Management will be distributed.
Examination and completion
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

- TEN1 - Exam, 2.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.

Home-exam a week after the course ends.
