Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
After the course, the student shall
- have knowledge of microbial attacks on buildings with respect to material combinations and micro environments in the building that may result in microbial attacks;
- have knowledge of suitable countermeasures against such attacks;
- have knowledge of how buildings can cause ill health because of microbial attacks;
- be able to show how this can be applied making buildings developing in a sustainable way.

Master of Science in Civil Engineering or similar, with an undergraduate course in building technology.

The course literature is announced at the beginning of each course round, but to find new literature is an important part of the course. Updated standards are part of this.
Examination and completion
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
Grading scale

- RAP1 - Project report, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
- TEN1 - Oral exam, 1.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
