The course contains lectures by representatives for different public authorities that are responsible for planning and assessment of the current infrastructure i.e. primarily Trafikverket, Swedish Kraftnät, The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, and the environmental courts. In connection with lectures, the participants should write theses that summarise and analyse central parts in respective legislation. Alternative course structure depending on number of participants.

Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
The general aim is to provide advanced knowledge of the judicial assessments in the form of plans and state that is needed in connection with building of infrastructure and establishment of local area protection according to The Environmental Code. In parallel with the Environmental Code, the course covers legislation on infrastructure, such as the road act, the act on building of railway, elctricity act, joint facilities act and planning and building act. More concretely, it implies that the student should be able to:
⢠Describe basic rules for planning and permit requirement in the different laws.
⢠Categorise, compare and present central parts in the different laws in writing.
⢠Describe the Environmental Code's main function at planning and assessment of infrastructure projects and The Environmental Code's connections to infrastructure legislation.
