Intended learning outcomes
The overall objective of the course is to give a framework on the roles of property rights in the society especially for rural land. Different rights are put in a functional context e.g. what types of rights are needed, how shall they be restricted and how can they be changed. At the end of the of the course the students are expected to be able to:
* Identify the main rights needed for rural areas
* Explain and describe the function of different types of rights and how they are related to each other
* Explain principles for changing different types of rights
* Apply mentioned principles when solving legal problems and argue why and how they are applicable

Specific prerequisites
Admission for Master's Programme in Real Estate Development and Financial Services or at least a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Land/Real Estate Economics/Development, Surveying, Law, Planning, Architecture or Human Geography.
Documented proficiency in English B or equivalent (TOEFL, IELTS e g).
