Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
After completing the course requirements students shall:
- be able to analyse the differences between planning systems and how these affect planning practise.
Literature and preparations
Specific prerequisites
Knowledge corresponding to at least 60 credits in urban and regional planning.
Recommended prerequisites
At least 30 ects within urban and regional planning

To be decided upon an individual basis.
Examination and completion
If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.
Grading scale
Examination
- LIT1 - Literature Seminar, 1.5 credits, grading scale: P, F
- ÖVN1 - Project Work, 6.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
Literature report (LIT1; 1c), projectwork (ÖVN1; 4c)
Opportunity to complete the requirements via supplementary examination
Opportunity to raise an approved grade via renewed examination
