Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
The overall goal of the courese is to provide students with extended knowledge in architecture. The course is intended to develop the sets of tools and concepts introduced in Orientation course in Urban management and Architecture, AD1OSA 15 hp.
After the course, students shall be:
- able to understand and use the basic architectural concepts concerning design.
- able to compile and communicate the modernist world of ideas, and evaluate
and analyze it.
- able to conduct an in-depth discussion of architecture and interpretation.
- able to use established methods of dialogue within architecture.
- able to operate with certain aspects of architectural interpretation.
- able to produce a simple building permit document designed with CAD.

Specific prerequisites
Completed upper secondary education including documented proficiency in Swedish corresponding to Swedish B and English corresponding to English A. For students who received/will receive their final school grades after 31 December 2009, there is an additional entry requirement for mathematics as follows: documented proficiency in mathematics corresponding to Mathematics A.

Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
To obtain the degree past on the whole course, 80% presence on all teaching sessions and passed on all course items are required.
