The course consists of lectures, text seminars, excursions and assignments.The course includes two assignments that are reported at the end of respective moment. The literature consists of overviews and source texts, which are discussed and examined at seminars.

Intended learning outcomes
The main objective of the course is to, in combination with the course Architecture for Subject Teachers II, give the required knowledge to teach the subject of architecture at the course Arkitektur-hus 100 poäng within the Swedish secondary school (gymnasieskolan).
After the course, the participants shall have
- basic knowledge of sustainable building from a social, ecological and economical perspective
- knowledge of the construction planning process and the related legislation
- orientation on the documents and drawings that belong to the construction process
- basic knowledge of the architectural design process and the tools that are involved in the architectural work

- MOM1 - Architecture and Sustainable Building, 3.0 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
- MOM2 - Architectural Design, 3.0 credits, grading scale: A, B, C, D, E, FX, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
The course consists of two moments. To obtain passed on the whole course, both moments have to be passed, and 80% attendance at all tuition is required.
