Course contents
Intended learning outcomes
The overall aim of the course is to provide insight into research-based and theoretical aspects in the field of architecture.
After passing the course, the student should be able to:
• analyze concepts, artefacts or processes in architecture and urban design with research-based tools and methods
• argue for and present discoveries and results with the support of text, images, design work and/or prototypes
• with the support of text and in discussion present critical analyzes of theoretical texts in architecture and urban design
Further, after the course, the student should have developed:
• their ability to reflect on sustainability aspects of the course content with the support of text or in discussion
• their ability to reflect on their own learning with the support of text or in discussion

Specific prerequisites
A student must have completed compulsory courses from one academic year at the Master´s programme in Architecture or the Advanced Level of the KTH Degree Programme in Architecture, or equivalent (60hp).

If the course is discontinued, students may request to be examined during the following two academic years.

- MOM1 - Moment 1, 3.0 credits, grading scale: P, F
Based on recommendation from KTH’s coordinator for disabilities, the examiner will decide how to adapt an examination for students with documented disability.
The examiner may apply another examination format when re-examining individual students.
Other requirements for final grade
A requirement for examination is 80% attendance and active participation at lectures, seminars and tutorials. Completed and approved written assignement.
