PhD in Semiconductor Optics, Semiconductor Physics Institute, Vilnius, Lithuania, 1986.
Started working at KTH in 1992 as a guest researcher.
Since 2009 - Professor in Optics at KTH.
20015-2016 - sabbatical visit to J.S. Speck’s group at University of California, Santa Barbara, USA.
Current research interests: ultrafast and near-field semiconductor spectroscopy, in particular on GaN-based materials, nanostructures and devices.
Author and co-author of about 300 papers and conference presentations.
Citation index 2400, h-index 28 (Google Scholar, March 2018).
