About me
Raid Karoumi has been working with research and education at KTH since 1999. He has developed methods for analysis of traffic induced vibrations on bridges including vehicle-bridge dynamic interaction. His research activity incorporates also instrumentation and structural health monitoring of bridges, development of methods for evaluation of traffic loads from measurements as well as life-cycle analysis (LCC & LCA) of bridges. He has been responsible for instrumentation and monitoring of several bridges in Sweden. Karoumi has authored/co-authored more than 100 papers, reports and books. The title of his doctoral thesis is “Response of Cable-Stayed and Suspension Bridges to Moving Vehicles, Analysis Methods and Practical Modelling Techniques”.
