Sustainability, safety, security and military systems

Sustainability, and especially social sustainability, has strong relations to safety, security and military systems. What actions to prioritize and how we define a “good system” is dependent on norms and values of our society. A norm critical perspective is most probably needed to create future systems that better support a better and more sustainable future for all.

Therefore, Hans Liwång is involved with several actions and projects related to social sustainability in relation to maritime systems and systems for defence and security.

One project is a PhD project at the Swedish Defence University. The PhD student is employed at the Swedish Defence University within the subject Systems Science for Defence and Security.
