Hydrogen, Power Grid Technologies and Transportation

The first industrial deployment of hydrogen for industrial heat with increased flexibility for the electricity grid and a sector coupling to transport.

A second pre-study is starting in October 2024.

Hydrogen for industrial heat with increased flexibility for the electricity grid and a sector coupling to transport [Elmfeldt, Bertling, 2024]

Together with partners Ovako, Volvo Trucks, and Hitachi Energy, this project takes a system perspective on the hydrogen facility at Ovako Hofors, inaugurated in September 2023. The project ran between Oktober and December 2023, funded by Vinnova with final reporting in January 2024.
