Courses

We have a wide range of courses at the Division. The course in History of Science and Technology analyzes the complex process that led to this day's high-tech society. In Environmental History, the problems of climate and environmental issues are highlighted in terms of risks and threats. The course Gender and Technology examines, among other things, how technology and gender have interacted throughout history, for example in areas such as work organization and technology introduction.

Most of our courses are given in English. A few courses are given in Swedish and open for external applicants. In the menu to the left there is a tab called Lifelong learning, there you can find courses that are searchable for external students. Read more on our Swedish course pages .

Degree Project

Write your degree project with us! We offer coruse at both undergraduate and advanced level. The course mainly consists of an independent project work that results in an academic paper. Focus should lie on the relation between technology, science and/or environment on the one side and the social progress on the other. The essay can treat historical events and processes of change both in close and in more remote past time. Contact Professor Nina Wormbs for more information: nina@kth.se
