The Stockholm Mathematics Centre (SMC) is a collaboration between the mathematics departments at KTH and Stockholm University coordinating education, research and outreach in mathematics.

Institut Mittag-Leffler

The department has a long history of cooperation with Institut Mittag-Leffler. A number of former directors and the current vice director of the institute are professors at the department. Many faculty members have been and will be involved in organising research programs.

School activities

The mathematics department has long cooperated with secondary schools in Stockholm, in particular through KTHs Mathematical Circle. Most of this activity is now coordinated through the Stockholm Mathematics Centre.

Göran Gustafsson lectures

The Göran Gustafsson lectures in mathematics is a prestigious lecture series given annually since 2005 with support from the Göran Gustafsson Foundation.
